Demonstrator Home Tours for
Residents
YorEnergy is proud to present our Demonstrator Homes, showcasing the latest retrofit technologies that can make your home warmer, more energy-efficient, and cheaper to run. These homes give you a first-hand look at practical solutions that can transform older properties and improve comfort for you and your family.
By attending a tour, you’ll see how measures like insulation, heating upgrades, solar panels, and ventilation systems work in real homes. This is a great opportunity to learn which solutions could be right for your property, ask questions, and gain confidence before making improvements.
Delivered in partnership by City of York Council, York Community Energy, and Wrapt Homes, the Demonstrator Homes show how typical York properties can be upgraded for greater comfort, lower energy bills, and long-term performance.
The first home open for tours is a Victorian terrace on Vine Street in the South Bank area of York. Tours are hosted by York Community Energy and City of York Council, giving you expert guidance and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
