How do double-glazed windows work?
Double-glazing is perfect if you have old or single-glazed windows. It works by putting two layers of glass together with a gap inbetween. This gap is filled with air or gas, which helps to stop the heat from escaping. This means you can heat your home less, lowering your energy bills.
Double-glazed windows also help to block outside noise, so you can enjoy a quieter and more peaceful home.
What do double-glazed windows look like and where does it fit in your house?
Double-glazed windows look like regular windows, but they have two sheets of glass instead of one. There is a small gap, usually about 16mm wide, between the two layers of glass. This gap is filled with air or gas to help keep your home warmer.
